Plants

Plants are the foundation and constant inspiration of my work. My growing practice is rooted in an ongoing curiosity for environmental science, ecology, and sustainability, while also offering a space for philosophical exploration and quiet psychological reflection. Through floristry, I trace the rhythms of seasonality and form, honouring the folklore, foraging traditions, and ancient wisdom carried by plants. Each creation becomes a living dialogue between nature and human hands; a meditation on life’s cycles, and a celebration of the enduring bond between people and the wild world.

Floristry

Using flowers I grow organically from seed, complemented by mindfully foraged foliage, I craft each piece with care and attention to the intricate structures of the plants themselves. Soft hues and carefully chosen colours are at the heart of every design, often blending fresh and dried elements, including seed heads and other seasonal treasures. My work is a reflection of nature's ever-changing rhythms, designed to bring the outside in, with every stem telling its own story.

Growing

I practice organic plant growing with a focus on polyculture, creating vibrant, productive, and wildlife-friendly planting schemes. By combining vegetables, perennials, and annuals through inter- and under-planting, I maximise productivity while nurturing a healthy, diverse ecosystem. My planting style is guided by a sensitivity to soft, harmonious colours, intricate textures, and thoughtfully composed forms. I grow from seed and collect plants from likeminded nurseries of note.

Inspired by the British countryside, my work celebrates the shifting character of the seasons. I grow native plants that pay homage to the timeless beauty of hedgerows, meadows, and woodlands, alongside unusual and characterful varieties that spark creativity and offer unexpected combinations. The result is a dynamic, living tapestry where productivity meets artistry, and every planting tells a story of place, time, and nature’s quiet resilience.
